Millsboro – Delaware State Troopers have charged a Millsboro man with two counts of vehicular assault after he was involved in a crash and found to be driving under the influence.
The incident occurred on Friday, September 28, 2018 at approximately 3:00 a.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the area of Millsboro Highway and Godwin School Road for a report of a crash. Upon arrival, it was determined that a 2016 BMW was headed eastbound on Millsboro Highway when it failed to maintain its lane. The BMW entered into the westbound lane of travel and struck a 2009 Blue Nissan Altima head on.
Upon contact with the operator of the BMW, 31-year-old Lamar Finney, an odor of alcohol was detected and a DUI investigation ensued.
The operator of the Altima, a 24-year-old male from Laurel was transported to the Beebe Medical Center with serious injuries. A passenger in the Altima, an 18-year-old female from Millsboro, was also transported to the Beebe Medical Center with serious injuries.

Finney was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 3 and released on $7,002.00 unsecured bond.
