Georgetown- An emergency bond hearing sets a new bail amount for 22-year-old Clay Conaway who was charged with Rape in the first degree and six counts of Rape in the second degree.

On Thursday, September 27, 2018, Clay Conaway had an emergency bond hearing where he was arraigned on the six additional counts of Rape in the Second Degree.  Conaway received an additional $240,000.00 secured bond on top of the original $70,000.00 secured bond and was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution and ordered to have no contact with the victims or their families.

The Delaware State Police is asking for anyone who has information in reference to any additional criminal incidents involving this defendant to contact Troop 4, Major Crimes Unit, Detective D. This case continues to remain under investigation. Because of the sensitivity of this case, and in consideration of the victims, only limited information will be released at this time.
