Troopers Seek Public’s Assistance in Identifying Attempted Theft Suspect

Harrington- The Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the above pictured suspect who is wanted in connection with an attempted theft of motor vehicles.

The incident occurred on September 1, 2018 at approximately 11:45 p.m. when the suspect attempted to steal motor vehicles from the Atlantic Auto Brokers located at 15428 South Dupont Highway.  The suspect entered the area on foot from Raughley Hill Road and began rummaging through numerous vehicles on the property. The suspect damaged the vehicles’ ignition using a sharp instrument in an attempt to take the cars.  The suspect remained on the property until approximately 4:00 a.m., and caused over $5,000 worth of damage to the vehicles.

The suspect is described as a black male with a beard wearing a light colored hat,  light colored long sleeve shirt, and athletic shorts.
