Troopers Investigating Robbery at Best Knights Inn – New Castle

New Castle (19720) – The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that took place at the Best Knights Inn on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:24 p.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2018 inside a room at the Best Knights Inn, located at 1200 West Ave., New Castle. A 31 year old Wilmington woman became involved in a verbal altercation with a male acquaintance who accused her of stealing money from him. The male subject then grabbed the victim’s cell-phone out of her hand and a physical altercation ensued, resulting in the victim being struck multiple times in the head and face by the male subject. An employee of the motel intervened at which time the male subject fled the property with the victims phone, in a dark colored passenger vehicle. The victim was transported to the Wilmington Hospital where she was treated for her injuries.

The victim described the subject as a black male, 5’1”-5’2”, 150-170 lbs., wearing a white tank top and black shorts.
