Troopers Investigating Bank Parking Lot Robbery – New Castle

New Castle (19720) – The Delaware State Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery that took place in the parking lot of a New Castle area bank this morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:28 a.m., Saturday, August 25, 2018 in the parking lot of the TD Bank located at 82 Christiana Road, New Castle. A 22 year-old-female was approached by two male suspects as she was sitting in her vehicle. One of the suspects reached into the vehicle and forcibly grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim. The suspects then ran to a silver four-door passenger vehicle with the victim chasing them. The victim jumped on the suspect’s vehicle and fell off and sustained minor injury as the suspects fled.

The first suspect was described as a black male approximately 5’08” tall, 20-25 years old with a thin build and braided hair.

The second suspect was described as a black male approximately 5’08” tall, 18-25 years old with short black hair with a muscular build.

No surveillance images are available at this time.
