Troopers Investigate Home Invasion-Dagsboro

Dagsboro –The Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred early this morning north of Dagsboro.

The preliminary investigation has determined the incident occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m., Sunday August 5, 2018 when Troopers responded to the 30000 block of Power Plant Road, Dagsboro for a reported home invasion robbery. Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim, a 51-year-old male, who advised that someone knocked on his travel trailer door and when he opened the door five black male suspects armed with firearms and wearing masks forced their way into his residence. Two of the suspects held him at gunpoint while other suspects ransacked his trailer before removing his cell phone. Prior to fleeing the trailer one of the suspects struck the victim’s head with a weapon causing a laceration to his head. Another suspect then tied the victim. The suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

The victim was transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects were described as five black males who entered his travel trailer and were all armed. The suspects were wearing all black clothing with their faces covered.
