Troopers Seek Public’s Assistance in Locating Shoplifting Suspect – Sussex County

Millsboro, Long Neck, Rehoboth Beach – The Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Terrence V. Purnell who is currently wanted for multiple shoplifting incidents that occurred in July of this year.

Terrence V. Purnell, 41 of Millsboro, entered the following businesses and removed merchandise consisting of consumable goods, bath products and clothing without paying:

  • July 11, 2018 Marshalls Rehoboth Beach 4575 Highway 1 (Shoplifting, Possession of Shoplifting Tools and Conspiracy 3rd degree)
  • July 19, 2018 Giant Grocery Story 25939 Plaza Drive Millsboro (Shoplifting and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – left drug paraphernalia at store)
  • July 25, 2018 Weis Store 24832 John J. Williams Highway, Millsboro (Possession of Shoplifting Tools and Shoplifting)
  • July 28, 2018 Giant 38069 Ocean View Town Center (Shoplifting)

In addition, Purnell is currently wanted by Justice of the Peace Court 3 for Driving Suspended, No Insurance and Violation of Probation and wanted by the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas for Shoplifting and Violation of Probation.

Purnell is described as a black male, approximately 41 years of age, 6’02” tall, with black hair and brown eyes. He is listed as homeless and frequents the Millsboro, Long Neck and Rehoboth Beach areas.
