Troopers Investigating Shooting-New Castle

New Castle – The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred this evening.

The preliminary investigation has determined that on Friday, July 13, 2018 at approximately 6:18 p.m., troopers responded to the Best Night Inn located at 1200 West Avenue, New Castle where a 30-year-old male victim was located with gunshot wounds to the upper and lower extremities.

The victim was removed from the scene and transported by EMS to a local area hospital where he is being treated for his injuries. No suspect information could be provided at this time.

This incident remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit.  If anyone has any information in reference to this incident, they are asked to please contact Troop 2 at 302-365-8467.
