Troopers Arrest Wilmington Man for Indecent Exposure

Wilmington (19808) – Delaware State Police have arrested a Wilmington man for indecent exposure after he was observed committing a lewd act while in plain view of a passing motorist.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:25 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018 as a 48 year old Wilmington woman was driving past a residence in the 3500 block of Newport Gap Pike, Wilmington. As she passed the residence she observed a white male, later identified as David L. DiTonno, 64, totally nude and in the process of committing a lewd act. The woman became alarmed and immediately called 911.

Upon Troopers arrival at the residence, which was confirmed to be DiTonno’s home, he was observed sitting in a chair in his open garage, totally nude and in plain view of the public roadway. At the time he was taken in to custody he admitted that he was attempting to gain attention from women in the area.

DiTonno was transported to Troop 6 where he was formally charged with one count each of Indecent Exposure 2nd Degree and Lewdness. He was then arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court #2 at which time he was placed on pre-trial supervision and released on $500.00 unsecured bail.
