Frankford- A Frankford woman was arrested on assault and other related charges stemming from a domestic incident with her husband.

The incident occurred on June 4, 2018, when the victim, 60-year-old male engaged in a domestic dispute with his wife, 52-year-old Kimberly F. Church at their residence.  The verbal argument led to Kimberly obtaining a hammer and striking the victim’s vehicle several times in multiple places.  Kimberly then returned inside the residence with hammer in hand, and continued to threaten the victim.  Kimberly swung the hammer at the victim’s head, forcing him to put up his hands to defend himself, and was subsequently struck on his forearm with the hammer.

On June 5, 2018 the victim responded to Delaware State Police Troop 4 to report this incident.  At this time, Troopers observed that the victim had sustained visible injury to his forearm.  It was learned that Kimberly had fled the residence shortly after the assault on June 4, 2018 and her location was unknown at this time.

On Thursday, June 14, 2018, at approximately 12:21 p.m., Kimberly was apprehended by the Georgetown Police Department, in the Walmart parking lot, after she engaged in another altercation with her husband.

Kimberly was charged with Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, Aggravated Menacing, Assault Third Degree, Terroristic Threatening, and Criminal Mischief.  She was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $23,100.00 unsecured bond.
