*Update* Names Released in Death Investigation-Hartly

Hartly– Delaware State Police are releasing the names of the two individuals that were found deceased in their residence yesterday afternoon.

The investigation began at approximately 11:27 a.m. when Troopers were dispatched to a residence on the 4000 block of Arthursville Road for a check on the welfare.  Upon arrival two subjects were located in the residence deceased.

The individuals have been identified as 87-year-old John James and his 81-year-old wife, Mary James. 

The bodies have been turned over to the Division of Forensic Science where an autopsy will be performed to determine the manner and cause of death.

The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is continuing their investigation into this suspected murder/suicide incident.  At this time, there is no concerns for safety in the surrounding area.
