Troopers Arrest Milton Man for 6th Offense DUI

Rehoboth Beach- The Delaware State Police have arrested a Milton man after he was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol for the 6th time.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:09 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 as a Trooper observed a maroon Dodge Stratus traveling in the wrong lane of travel on Warrington Road.  A traffic stop was conducted and the Trooper made contact with the operator, 36-year-old Jermaine D. Willis.  Upon contact with Willis, an odor of alcohol was detected and a DUI investigation ensued.  Willis was taken into custody and transported back to Troop 7.  A computer check revealed that Willis had five previous DUI convictions, making this his 6th arrest.

Jermaine Willis was charged with 6th Offense Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving While Suspended or Revoked, Driving on the Wrong Side of the Roadway, Failure to Remain Within a Single Lane, and Failure to Have Insurance Identification. He was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $7,502.00 cash bond.
