Troopers Seek Public’s Assistance in Identifying Robbery Suspect-Lewes

Lewes–  The Delaware State Police are investigating the armed robbery of a motel that occurred Saturday evening, and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the above pictured suspect who is wanted in connection.

The incident occurred on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at approximately 10:26 p.m. when Troopers were dispatched to the Red Mill Inn located at 16218 Coastal Highway for a reported robbery.  Upon arrival, Troopers made contact with an employee who indicated that he was in the rear storage area located behind the front office when he was confronted by a subject.  The suspect displayed a handgun and a physical struggle ensued in which the victim was stuck with a blunt force object.  The Suspect then held the victim at gunpoint and ordered him to retrieve money from the cash register.  The victim complied with the demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash prior to the suspect fleeing the scene.  The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment at the time.

The suspect was described as black male, approximately 5’09”-5’10” tall, 160-180 lbs., wearing all dark colored clothing.
