Violent Intruder Preparedness & Response Security Seminar

CaptureDelaware- The Delaware State Police has partnered with the Delaware Department of Education in hosting Violent Intruder Preparedness and Response (VIPR) seminars.  The seminars will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the listed locations:

  • April 11:  Redding Middle School, 201 New Street, Middletown, DE
  • April 16:  Laurel Middle School, 1133 S. Central Avenue, Laurel, DE
  • April 17:  Indian River High School, 29772 Armory Road, Dagsboro, DE
  • April 23:  Caesar Rodney High School, 239 Old North Road, Camden, DE
  • May 3:  Cape Henlopen High School, 1250 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE

These free training sessions will include topics related to active shooter threats, emergency preparedness, suspicious activity reporting, and hometown security threats. The seminars are open to the public and no registration is required.  Three additional training seminars will be advertised in the near future.  All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
