Troopers Investigating Parking Lot Robbery-Wilmington

Wilmington (19805) Delaware State Police are currently investigating the armed robbery of a man which occurred in the parking lot of a local area BP Gas station.

The preliminary investigation has determined the incident occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the BP Gas Station located at 4001 Lancaster Pike, Wilmington. The 31 year old male victim finished work and responded to the BP Gas Station to add air to his car tires. He drove to the air pump and began adding air to the rear passenger tire when he was suddenly struck on the head by a handgun and surrounded by three unknown young black males. Subjects began cursing at him and demanded money as one of the suspects pointed an unknown make and model hand gun at him. The suspects removed an undisclosed amount of money and cellular phone from the victim. All three suspects then fled the scene on two dirt bikes eastbound on Lancaster Pike. The victim sustained non-life threatening injury to his head.

The three suspects were described as black males wearing all black with their faces covered and one with an unknown make and model handgun. There is no further physical or clothing description available.
