Newark – Delaware State Police detectives have arrested  Jeremy P. Poore, 30, of Newark, in connection with the September 2016, armed robbery of a Newark area Verizon Wireless store.

The original incident occurred at approximately 10:05 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2016, at the Verizon Wireless store, located at 1209 Churchman’s Road, Newark. Poore entered the business brandishing both a handgun and knife, and ordered employees to turn over money from the safe. After a brief struggle, Poore was able to flee with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Through various investigative leads and measures, to include physical evidence collected at the scene, detectives were able to positively identify Poore as the suspect responsible for the robbery.

On Thursday, December 21, 2017, Poore was taken into custody without incident, and formally charged with 2 counts of Robbery 1st Degree, and 1 count each of Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, and Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony.

Poore was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court #2, and released after posting $80,000 secured bond.
