Kent County– The Delaware State Police Troop 3 has partnered with the Caesar Rodney School District in kicking off a new pilot program called STaRS, “State Troopers actively Reaching Students”!  The program is set to begin on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Allen Frear Elementary School located at 238 Sorghum Mill Road, Camden from 10:40 a.m. to 1:10 p.m.  In attendance will be Troop 3’s administrations including Captain Joshua Bushweller, Patrol Units, Community Outreach, and School Resource Officers.  The media is also encouraged and welcome to attend.

The collaboration of Troopers from various units will be engaging with the elementary students at their school during lunch time.  The objective of the program is aimed at long term crime reduction by promoting positive encounters between children and police.   It is an opportunity for the children to interact through conversations with Troopers while building trust worthy relationships within the Law Enforcement community.
