**Update** State Police Investigating Shooting in Capitol Park

Dover – The Delaware State Police Troop 3 Major Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred in the Capitol Park Development earlier this morning.

Preliminary information suggests the incident occurred around 10:00 a.m. Wednesday October 11, 2017 in the area of the 100 block of Presidents Drive where a 29-year-old male from Dover was shot by an unknown suspect(s) while standing next to a parked vehicle.  The victim, who was shot multiple times, was transported from the scene by EMS and transported to an area hospital where he is currently admitted in serious condition.

Detectives are continuing to conduct interviews and collect evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.  Additional information and investigative details will be disseminated as soon as it becomes available and the investigation progresses.
