A Donation Drive for Puerto Rico Accepted at Delaware State Police Troops

WILMINGTON, Del. – Governor John Carney, the Delaware Emergency Management Agency (DEMA), Delaware State Police, and Delaware Citizen Corps, in conjunction with the International Longshoremen’s Association and the Port of Wilmington, announced on Thursday a campaign to gather donated supplies to aid relief efforts in Puerto Rico.

The Delaware State Police is extending our community outreach by helping the people of Puerto Rico affected by Hurricane Maria. DSP Troops throughout the state are accepting donations which can be brought to any Delaware State Police Troop by October 18, 2017. (See Attached Flyer)

As part of our community service initiative we will be collecting donated items from the public. A box will be placed in the lobby of each Troop. All donations collected will be taken to the Port of Wilmington at the conclusion of the event to be sent to Puerto Rico.
