Dover – The Delaware State Police have arrested a Pennsylvania man for heroin possession following a traffic stop.
The incident occurred on Tuesday October 3, 2017 around 1:08 p.m. when a trooper on patrol clocked a white passenger car traveling above the posted 25 mph speed limit approaching the toll plaza on SR1 southbound. A traffic stop was conducted and as the trooper made contact with the operator and sole occupant of the car, identified as Vincent Clark, 37 of Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, an odor of marijuana was detected coming from the interior of the car. A computer inquiry revealed Clark’s license was suspended. Upon exiting the car, a search was conducted and troopers located 11,115 bags (77.805 grams) of heroin and .16 grams of marijuana.
Vincent Clark was transported back to Troop 3 in Camden where he was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Tier 5 Quantity (Heroin), Possession With Intent to Deliver Heroin, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving Without a Valid License, and Speeding. He was arraigned at JP2 and committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $40,302.00 secured bond.
