*Traffic Advisory* Troopers Investigating Serious Motor Vehicle Crash – Greenville (Final Update)

Greenville – Further investigation revealed that at approximately 7:19 a.m. this morning, Friday September 29th, 2017 a black Audi Q-7 operated by a 57 year old Wilmington man was travelling northbound on Kennett Pike (Rt. 52) north of Hillside Rd. A black Jeep Liberty operated by a 17 year old male from Hockessin was travelling Kennett Pike (Rt. 52) southbound when for an unknown reason the Jeep veered left, crossing the center line striking the Audi head on. Both vehicles came to rest in the roadway and no other vehicles were involved.

The 57 year old male was treated at the scene by EMS and transported to Christiana hospital by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries. The 17 year old male was treated on scene by EMS before being transported by ambulance to Christiana Hospital where he was admitted in critical condition. A 16 year old female passenger in the Jeep was treated on scene by EMS before being transported to Christiana Hospital by Delaware State Police Helicopter Trooper 4, where she was admitted with serious injuries.

All subjects were properly restrained at the time of the crash and drugs or alcohol are not being considered as a factor.

No charges were filed in this crash. There will be no further updates.
