Arrests Made in Crabapple Lane Drug Investigation

Lincoln – The Delaware State Police Sussex County Drug Unit has arrested multiple people following an investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics in the Lincoln area.

Detectives assigned to the Drug Unit, along with the assistance of the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force, Troop 7 Pro-Active Criminal Enforcement (P.A.C.E.) team, State Police Special Operations Response Team (S.O.R.T.), Delaware Department of Correction, and Milford Police Department, conducted search warrants located in the 19000 block of Crabapple Lane and the 8000 block of Greentop Road around 11:00 a.m., Tuesday September 5, 2017.  Upon the detectives arrival, numerous individuals were contacted and taken into custody.  Upon conducting the searches, detectives located a total of 3043 bags of heroin (21.301 grams), 28.24 grams of cocaine, 11 Suboxone strips, over $9,500.00 in suspected drug proceeds, as well as a .22 caliber rifle.

The following suspects were charged as a result of the investigation:

    • Darus E. Young, 42 of Millsboro; Possession Heroin, Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin, Possession Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Conspiracy 2nd, Resisting Arrest, and Possession Drug Paraphernalia.  Arraigned at JP2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $130,000.00 cash bond.
    • Antonio J. Belfield, 33 of Lincoln; Possession Heroin, Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin, Possession Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Conspiracy 2nd, Tampering with Evidence, and Possession Drug Paraphernalia.  Arraigned at JP2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $130,000.00 cash bond.
    • William Snyder, 39 of Lincoln; two counts of Possession Firearm by Person Prohibited; Maintaining a Drug Property; Possession of Heroin; Possession Drug Paraphernalia.  Arraigned at JP2 and committed to SCI on $24,000.00 secured bond.
    • McKayla Snyder-Shirey, 19 of Lincoln; Maintaining a Drug Property and Possession Marijuana.  Arraigned at JP2 an released on $2,500.00 unsecured bond.

Others arrested and released on unsecured bonds or criminal summons:

    • Robert L. Fanning, 47 of Milford; Resisting Arrest.
    • Andre A. Mifflin, 44 of Lincoln; Possession Heroin and Resisting Arrest.
    • William G. Rafter, 48 of Lincoln; Possession Heroin and Possession Drug Paraphernalia.
    • Nathaniel L. Colon, 23 of Lincoln; Carrying a Concealed Dangerous Instrument and Possession Drug Paraphernalia.
    • John S. Meredith, 48 of Milford; Possession Drug Paraphernalia. (No photo)

    • Caitlynn H. Scott, 20 of Milton; Criminal Impersonation. (No photo)

Six additional subjects were contacted by troopers that were found to be wanted on outstanding capiases.
