**Update** State Police Conducting Death Investigation – Dover

Dover– The Delaware State Police are releasing the name of the person found in a wooded area east of Leipsic Road as Linda C. Moore, 40, with a last known address of Charlotte, North Carolina.

The investigation began at approximately 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017, when human remains were discovered as a subject walked through the wooded area east of Leipsic Road near Marley Lane. The subject contacted troopers working the Firefly Music Festival and notified them of the discovery. Criminal Detectives responded to the wooded area and confirmed them to be human skeletal remains.

The Delaware Division of Forensic Science was contacted and removed the remains.  Based on the investigation, and confirmation through dental records, the human remains were positively identified as Linda C. Moore.  Her death has been ruled “undetermined” by the Division of Forensic Science.
