Detectives Investigating Nighttime Residential Burglary – Hartly

Hartly – The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating a burglary that occurred east of Hartly late Wednesday night.

The incident occurred around 11:44 p.m., Wednesday July 19, 2017 when a male subject entered an unsecured window of a residence located in the unit block of Kohouts Drive.  Upon entering the window, which opens directly over the 75-year-old female’s bed, the suspect grabbed the female’s leg.  The female woke up to the suspect entering the window before he fled out of the same window in an unknown direction.  The female was unharmed during the incident and the suspect did not take any of the victim’s belongings.

The suspect has only been described as a Hispanic male possibly wearing shorts (no further physical or clothing description available).  It is unknown if he was armed with any weapon.
