New Castle (19720)- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a single vehicle crash involving an overturned tractor-trailer.

The initial investigation has determined that the crash occurred this morning, Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at approximately 1:22 a.m., on I-95 northbound just south of I-495 northbound. As a result of the crash, the operator of the tractor-trailer has been transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

At this time, the two right hand lanes of northbound I-95 approaching the I-495 northbound split have been closed to traffic as the fuel spill from the tractor-trailer is cleaned up and the crash is cleared. Commuters are expected to find slowed traffic in the area and are asked to find alternate routes of travel.
