Hockessin- Delaware State Police are currently investigating a crash involving an overturned tractor-trailer which occurred this morning.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:43 a.m. this morning, Monday, June 5, 2017 near the intersection of SR 48 (Lancaster Pike) and SR 41 (Newport-Gap Pike) and involves an overturned tractor-trailer carrying a load of sand, which subsequently became engulfed in flames.
There were no injuries as a result of the crash, however, the roadway is currently closed and commuters are asked to avoid the area and find alternate routes of travel.
