Troopers Investigate Robbery of Bear Area 7-11

Bear – Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a Bear area 7-11 that occurred early this morning.

The initial investigation has determined that the incident occurred at approximately 1:11 a.m., Sunday, May 21, 2017, as a male suspect entered the 7-11 located at 1700 Pulaski Highway.  The suspect confronted a male employee at the sales counter and demanded money and cigarettes while displaying an unknown type handgun.  The employee complied with the demand and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes before the suspect exited the business and fled southeast through the parking lot towards Porter Road. The clerk was uninjured in the incident.

The suspect was described as a black male, 5’08”-5’10” tall, last seen wearing all dark clothing (No further physical or clothing description available).  An unknown type handgun was displayed.

No video surveillance footage is available at this time.
