Sussex County Drug Unit Arrests Two in Heroin Investigation

Harbeson – The Delaware State Police Sussex County Drug Unit has arrested two men following a month long drug investigation.

Detectives assigned to the Drug Unit, along with the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force and State Police Special Operations Response Team (S.O.R.T.), conducted a search warrant at a residence in the 22000 block of Hurdle Ditch Road on around 4:30 p.m., Thursday March 2, 2017.  Upon conducting the search, detectives located a total of 346 bags of heroin (5.19 grams) as well as a fully loaded.38 caliber revolver that was listed as stolen out of Seaford.

The homeowner, Maurice C. Gordon Jr., 51, was contacted in Lincoln by troopers and taken into custody without incident. Naquan T. Williams, 34 of Patterson, New Jersey, was also contacted after meeting with Gordon in Lincoln and taken into custody without incident.  Troopers located more than $14,800.00 in suspected drug proceed upon searching Williams’ vehicle.  Both Gordon and Williams were transported back to Troop 4 where they were both charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Heroin), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin), and Conspiracy 2nd.  Gordon was additionally charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited and Receiving a Stolen Firearm.  They were arraigned at JP2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $55,000.00 cash (Gordon) and $42,000.00 cash (Williams) bonds.
