Newark – Delaware State Police are currently investigating the attempted armed robbery of a 33 year old man as he attempted to sell iPhones in a shopping center parking lot yesterday evening.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at approximately 8:56 p.m., as a 33 year old male victim met with a man, who had agreed to purchase two iPhones from him, in the parking lot of the People’s Plaza Shopping Center, located at 400 People’s Drive, Newark. After the victim made contact with the male suspect outside of the Rugged Wearhouse store, the suspect produced a handgun and pointed it at the victim.
