Troopers Investigate McDonald’s Restaurant Robbery

Claymont – Delaware State Police are currently investigating the armed robbery of a McDonald’s restaurant that occurred last night in Claymont.

The initial investigation has determined that the incident occurred at approximately 8:21 p.m. last night, Sunday, November 27, 2016, as three male suspects entered the McDonald’s restaurant located at 2702 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont. One of the suspects, who was armed with an unknown make and model handgun, vaulted the sales counter and confronted a female employee, while the other two suspects, who were also armed, walked behind the sales counter and confronted a male employee. The suspects then demanded cash from the registers. The employees complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to them . All three suspects then exited the restaurant and fled the area on foot with a fourth subject. There were no injuries.

The first suspect who vaulted the counter was described as a black male. He was 5’06”-5’11” tall, weighed 150-170 lbs., and was dressed in all dark clothing. He also had his face partially covered with a cloth.

The second and third suspects were also black males. They were both 5’05”-5’07” tall, had thin builds, and were dressed in dark clothing.

There was no physical or clothing description available for the fourth suspect. No video surveillance photos are available to be released at this time.
