Troopers Investigate Home Invasion

Camden-Wyoming – Delaware State Police are currently investigating a home invasion style robbery which occurred early this morning in Camden-Wyoming.

The initial investigation has determined that the incident occurred this morning, Saturday, November 26, 2016 at approximately 4:50 a.m., as three unknown suspects entered a residence located in the 200 block of Thicket Road. One of the suspects, who was armed with an unknown make and model handgun and was dressed in dark clothing, proceeded to a bedroom where he confronted a 79 year old male occupant and struck him with the gun. The suspect then proceeded to remove an undisclosed amount of cash from a dresser located within the bedroom. The male victim sustained a minor injury, however he refused medical treatment.

Upon hearing the noise coming from the male victim’s room, a 58 year old female occupant of the house exited her bedroom. As she did, she was confronted by a second of the three suspects who pushed an unknown type of weapon against her face causing a minor injury. All three of the suspects then exited the home and fled in an unknown direction. The female victim also refused medical treatment.

No further clothing or physical description of the suspects is available at this time.
