Troopers Investigate Laurel Area Home Invasion

Laurel – The Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred near Laurel early Saturday evening.

The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m., Saturday November 12, 2016 when a subject forcefully entered a rear door to a residence located in the unit block of Oasis Drive.  The suspect(s) then confronted a 46-year-old male and a 58-year-old male that were asleep in separate rooms within the house and demanded money.  At one point during the confrontation, the 46-year-old was struck in the head with an unknown object before the suspect(s) fled the house without taking any items.  The male victim was transported to an area hospital where he was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries.  The 58-year-old male was uninjured in the incident.

The suspect or possibly four suspects were only described as males (No further physical or clothing description).
