State Police Investigate Robbery of Blades Restaurant

Blades- Delaware State Police are assisting the Blades Police Department with a robbery of a restaurant that occurred early last night.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:17 p.m., Saturday October 30, 2016, as two male suspects, armed with an unknown type handguns, entered the El Chicanito,  located at 100 South Market Street. The suspects approached an adult female clerk who was standing just inside the doorway and pointed a gun at her while the second suspect approached a male juvenile behind the counter and demanded cash.  The juvenile complied with the demand and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects then exited the store and possibly entered an SUV before fleeing in the direction of the Blades Elementary School. There were no injuries.

The first suspect was described as a Hispanic male, and the second was described as a black male, both wearing dark colored clothing, masks covering their faces, and gloves (No further clothing or physical description).  Armed with an unknown type handguns.
