Troopers Investigate Royal Farms Robbery

Hartly, DE- Delaware State Police are currently investigating the armed robbery of a Hartly area Royal Farms and are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspect.

The incident occurred this morning, Sunday, October 9, 2016 at approximately 12:16 a.m., as a male suspect, later identified as Kenneth N. Wasser, III, 23, of Hartly, entered the Royal Farms, located at 6538 Halltown Road. Wasser, who was armed with a knife, approached the sales counter and confronted a female employee. He then  demanded money from the cash register. The clerk complied with Wasser’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to him. Wasser then exited the store and was seen entering the back seat of a dark colored four door vehicle which was being driven by a second subject. The vehicle then fled in an unknown direction.

After conducting interviews and other investigative techniques, troopers were able to positively identify Kenneth Wasser as the suspect who committed the robbery. State Police detectives have obtained warrants charging Wasser with Robbery 1st Degree, Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, 2 counts of Aggravated Menacing, Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony, and Conspiracy 2nd Degree.

Kenneth Wasser (picture attached) is 5’10” tall, weighs 150 lbs., and has brown eyes and brown hair.
