Troopers Investigate Robbery of Rehoboth Leather Store

Rehoboth Beach- Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a leather store in Rehoboth Beach.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:41 p.m., Saturday October 2, 2016, as a male suspect, armed with an unknown type handgun, entered Leather Central located at 36983 Rehoboth Avenue Extended. The suspect approached a male clerk who was standing behind the counter and demanded cash.  The clerk complied with the demand and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then exited the store and fled in an unknown direction. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as a black male, 5’08” tall, 160lbs., wearing dark colored clothing and white sneakers (No further physical or clothing description).  Armed with an unknown type handgun.

There are no video surveillance photos available to be released at this time.
