Troopers Investigate Home Invasion South of Milford

Milford– The Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred south of Milford.

The incident occurred around 3:34 a.m. this morning, Friday September 30, 2016 when a male subject entered the rear door of a residence located in the 10000 block of Rust Road.  The suspect confronted a 62-year-old male and his 48-year-old wife armed with an unknown type handgun and threatened to do harm to them both.  The husband and wife, along with a 28-year-old male who lives in the house, retreated to a master bedroom and locked the door.  A 9-1-1 call was placed by the 62-year-old male victim and upon the troopers arrival, all the occupants of the home were safely evacuated.  A search of the house and property by troopers and Milford Police Officers were unsuccessful in locating the suspect.  None of the victim’s were injured in the incident.

The suspect was described as black male, 20-30 year of age, 5’09” – 5’10” tall, 160-165 lbs. wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a red mask over his face (No further physical or clothing description available).  Armed with unknown type handgun.
