Troopers Investigate Home Invasion near Georgetown

Georgetown, DE – Troopers are investigating a home invasion that occurred south of Georgetown this afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. Wednesday August 3, 2016 in the 24000 block of Kruger Road, as 24-year-old female was in the bathroom and heard a noise near the kitchen of the house. As she exited the bathroom, she was confronted by three males as they came running at her.  One of the males was armed with an unknown type handgun and order her to the ground. Once on the ground, the victim’s hands were tied behind her back and her head was covered.  The suspects then ransacked the house before removing some of the victim’s jewelry and fleeing the residence in an unknown direction.  The female victim was uninjured in the incident.

The first suspect was described as white male, 6’00” – 6’02” tall, 150-170 lbs., wearing all dark clothing (No further physical or clothing description available). Armed with an unknown type handgun.

The other two suspects were only described as black males (No further physical or clothing description available).
