Wilmington, DE- Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a female suspect following a shoplifting incident that occurred at the Concord Mall on Saturday.

The investigation into the incident began at approximately 6:52 p.m. yesterday, Saturday, July 2, 2016, as a female suspect, later identified as Lisa Smith, 32, of Wilmington, was observed concealing approximately $300.00 worth of clothing in a bag while inside of the Justice Store, located at 4737 Concord Pike, Wilmington. A Delaware State Trooper working at the mall was contacted and advised as to what was occurring. He then responded to the store and as he arrived, he observed Smith running out of the store. The Trooper then chased Smith and ordered her to stop; however, she exited the mall and entered into a black Infiniti FX3 which was in the parking lot. The Trooper then attempted to open the doors to the vehicle but found them to be locked. Smith then quickly reversed the vehicle, almost striking the Trooper, before fleeing in an unknown direction. There were no injuries.

After further investigation and several interviews, Troopers were able to positively identify Lisa Smith as the suspect. Warrants were then obtained charging Smith with Shoplifting, Resisting Arrest, and Reckless Endangering 2nd Degree.

Lisa Smith (pictured) is described as a black female. She is 5’04” tall, weighs 165 lbs., and has black hair. She may be operating a black Infiniti FX3 bearing DE registration PC41110 (similar to the one pictured).
