Troopers Investigate Gas Station Robbery

Bear, DE- Delaware State Police are currently investigating the armed robbery of a Bear area BP station that occurred early last night.

The initial investigation has determined that the incident occurred at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2016, as a male suspect entered the BP station located at 3596 Wrangle Hill Road, Bear. The suspect, who was armed with an unknown make and model handgun, confronted a male clerk of the store and demanded money and cigarettes. The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes to him. The suspect then exited the business and was last seen fleeing on foot toward the rear of the store. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as a white male. He was 5’06”-5’10” tall, weighed 175-200 lbs., and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, and black and white sneakers. He also had a mask covering his face.
