Troopers Investigate Robbery of Ellendale Dollar General

Ellendale, DE – Troopers are investigating a robbery of the Ellendale Dollar General store that occurred late Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred around 9:55 p.m. Tuesday June 21, 2016, when a male suspect entered the Dollar General store, located at 18036 Beach Highway, armed with an unknown type handgun. He approached a male and a female employee at the counter and demanded cash.  The clerks complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of currency.  The subject then fled the business in a westerly direction.  The employees were uninjured in this incident.

 

The suspect was described as a male, 6’00” tall, 150-160 lbs., wearing all dark colored clothing and ask over his face (No further physical or clothing description available). Armed with an unknown type handgun.
