Woodside, DE – Troopers are investigating a home invasion that occurred outside of Woodside late Thursday night.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:35 p.m. Thursday June 9, 2016 in the unit block of Four Acre Drive, as three males forcefully entered the residence that was occupied by a 25-year-old male, 26-year-old female, and a 19-year-old female. The suspects, who were armed with unknown type handguns, demanded cash and their cell phones. The victims complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and the victim’s cell phones before the three suspects fled the house. The trio then entered a silver four door vehicle parked outside where a fourth suspect was waiting in the car. The vehicle then traveled northbound on Upper King Road. None of the victims were injured during this incident.
The three suspects were all described as a black males wearing masks over their faces (No further physical or clothing description available). They were all armed with unknown types of handguns. There was no description for the fourth suspect.
Detectives have determined through preliminary interviews and investigation that this was not a random act and believe the victims may have been targeted in the home invasion.
