Troopers conducting Death Investigation after body found in Delaware City Canal- Delaware City

Delaware City – Troopers are currently conducting a death investigation after a body was discovered floating in the Delaware City Canal on Tuesday morning.

At approximately 10:35 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, troopers responded to the Delaware City Canal at Bulk Head Shoal Chanel, Delaware City, for a body floating in the water.

The male was removed from the scene and turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science to confirm the deceased’s identity and perform an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
