Newark – The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a two vehicle crash which has blocked three lanes of I-95 in Newark.

The initial investigation has determined that the crash occurred at approximately 6:49 p.m. this evening on I-95 northbound in the area of the turnpike service area and involves two vehicles. Injuries have been reported in the crash, however, the amount of injured subjects and the extent of their injuries in unknown at this time.

As a result of the crash three lanes of I-95 northbound have been closed and commuters should expect delays in the area. Alternate routes of travel are suggested.

The investigation into this crash is in its early stages. More information will be released at the conclusion of the investigation.
