Warrant Attempt Leads to Weapons Charges – Milton

Milton- The Delaware State Police have arrested 55-year-old Calvin Wyatt of Milton, for maintaining a drug property and 38 year-old Jennifer Bachman of Georgetown, on weapons charges after warrant attempt.

The incident occurred on July 17, 2020 at approximately 2:33 p.m., when Troopers responded to the 28000 block of West Springside Drive, Milton. Stemming from an incident that occurred on July 16, 2020, Troopers were attempting to locate wanted felon Calvin Wyatt for maintaining a drug property.  Upon arrival, Troopers contacted Wyatt and Jennifer Bachman at the rear of Wyatt’s property. Bachman was immediately observed removing a concealed knife and throwing it behind her. Troopers gave verbal commands for Bachman to not move, but she did not comply and fought against the Troopers as they took her into custody. There were no injuries as a result of the incident. The knife was recovered at the scene and placed into evidence.

Wyatt and Bachman were taken into custody without further incident and transported to Troop 7 where they were each charged with the following:

Wyatt :

  • Maintaining a Drug Property (felony)

Wyatt was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $3,000.00 secured bond.

Bachman

  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon (felony)
  • Resisting Arrest

Bachman was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on $600.00 unsecured bond.
