Troopers Arrest Milton Man For Burglary-Milton

Date Posted: Wednesday, June 10th, 2020

Milton- The Delaware State Police arrested 39-year-old DONALD L WHEELER for burglary and related charges.

The incident occurred on June 9, 2020, at approximately 1:47 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to a residence in the 28000 block of W. Meadowview Drive, Milton, in reference to the homeowner requesting a property check.  The homeowner, who primarily lives out of state received an electric bill that was higher then usual and suspected that something was going on.  Upon arrival to the residence, Troopers heard voices and located Donald Wheeler inside.

It was determined that Wheeler had entered the residence in the beginning of June, 2020 through an unsecured door and ransacked the place.  Wheeler was taken into custody without incident and transported back to Troop 7 where he was charged with the following:

  •  Burglary Second Degree (Felony)
  •  Theft of Services Under $1500
  •  Criminal Mischief

Wheeler was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on $5500.00 unsecured bond.
