Troopers Arrest Two After Discovery of Drugs and Weapons- Rehoboth Beach

Rehoboth Beach (19971)- The Delaware State Police have arrested 21-year-old Ezekial T. Winner of Rehoboth Beach and 30-year-old Daevon Harmon of Rehoboth Beach after drugs and weapons were discovered.

The incident occurred on November 27, 2019, when Troopers were dispatched to the area of the Royal Farms located at Coastal Highway and John J. Williams Highway for a report of a vehicle committing traffic violations and nearly striking another vehicle. The vehicle was described as a yellow Toyota Celica.  Upon arrival, Troopers located the vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Royal Farms and made contact with the operator, Winner, and passenger, Harmon.  Initially Harmon provided a false name. Winner informed the Trooper that there were drugs and a weapon inside the vehicle. A computer inquiry reveled that Winner was a person prohibited from possessing a weapon and Harmon had active capiases.

A search of the vehicle was conducted and the following was located:

  • Two large hand held sword like knives
  • Approximately 2.1 grams of crack cocaine
  • A rife (30-06 Centurion Model 120)
  • Drug paraphernalia

Winner and Harmon were taken into custody and transported back to Troop 7.  Harmon was found concealing approximately .182 grams of heroin on his person.

Winner was charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Possession of Firearm/Destructive Weapon Within10 Years of Prior Conviction of Any Felony
  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon (3 counts)
  • Possession of a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Winner was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $16000.00 secured bond.

Harmon was charged with the following:

  • Tampering With Physical Evidence
  • Criminal Impersonation
  • Possession of a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance (2 counts)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts)

Harmon was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $5000.00 secured bond.
