The Delaware State Police have arrested 33-year-old Michael Hoyte of Wilmington, Delaware for a robbery that occurred on Wednesday night in North Wilmington.
On November 15th, 2023, at approximately 9:38 p.m., troopers responded to the Philly Salon located at 222 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, for a report of a robbery in the parking lot of the beauty salon. The investigation determined an unknown male suspect demanded the victim’s belongings while threatening to shoot her. The suspect ultimately fled on foot after grabbing the victim’s purse. Through investigative measures, troopers identified the suspect as Michael Hoyte.
On November 17, 2023, Troop 2 Robbery Detectives located Hoyte on Maryland Avenue in Wilmington. He was taken into custody and transported to Troop 2, where he was charged with the following crimes:
Hoyte was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $60,000 cash bond.
