The Delaware State Police arrested 28-year-old Breana Brooks of Dover, Delaware, for stealing a Nissan from Delaware Park Casino’s parking lot on Friday afternoon.
On June 28, 2024, at approximately 5:58 p.m., a trooper responded to Delaware Park Casino located at 777 Delaware Park Boulevard, Wilmington, for a report of a black Nissan Altima that was stolen from the parking lot. During the investigation, the trooper discovered an unknown black female suspect stole the victim’s car keys from her jacket while the jacket was left unattended at a slot game. The suspect then went out to the parking lot, located the matching car, and fled in the stolen Nissan. Through investigative means, the trooper identified the suspect as Breana Brooks, and obtained a warrant for her arrest.
On June 29, 2024, Brooks was located in the stolen Nissan by the Dover Police Department. She was taken into custody and transported to Troop 3, where she was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and committed to Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a $2,000 secured bond.
