Delaware State Police arrested 50-year-old Willie Anderson, Jr., of Bridgeville, Delaware, for felony gun and drug dealing charges following a search warrant at a residence in Bridgeville this morning.
On June 7, 2024, at approximately 6:02 a.m., members of the Sussex Governor’s Task Force, Sussex Drug Unit, and Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence on Polk Road in Bridgeville. The search warrant was obtained following a two-month long drug investigation of Willie Anderson, who was suspected of the large-scale distribution of narcotics. Anderson was taken into custody at the residence without incident.
A search of the property led to the discovery of the following items:
A computer inquiry revealed Anderson is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing firearms and/or ammunition. Anderson was taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $1,158,600 cash bond.
