Delaware State Police arrested 37-year-old Lamir Harris of Wilmington, Delaware, for a felony shoplifting and drug offenses yesterday afternoon at a Newark area Kohl’s.
On May 3, 2024, at approximately 4:33 p.m., a trooper responded to Kohl’s, located at 2800 Pulaski Highway in Newark, for a report of a shoplifting. Prior to arriving, the trooper learned the black female suspect was last seen carrying the clothing that she had just shoplifted from Kohl’s while walking eastbound on Pulaski Highway towards a nearby Wawa. The responding trooper searched the area and located the suspect with the unpaid merchandise behind a bush in the parking lot of the Wawa. A search of her person led to the discovery of 5 glassine bags containing approximately 0.035 grams of heroin, and one Xanax pill. The trooper returned to the Wawa parking lot and recovered over $2,100 worth of clothing from behind the bush.
Harris was taken to Troop 2, where she was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and released on an $800 unsecured bond.
